State Park Cabins
Cabins- Waking to a high country morning in the comfort of a rustic cabin
nestled in a forest of aspen trees can become reality with Colorado State
Parks’ camper cabins.
Camper cabins offer a variety of accommodations, featuring wood-burning,
propane or electric heaters and are available year-round at select sites.
State Forest , Steamboat Lake, Sylvan Lake, Vega and Golden Gate Canyon
state parks all offer a variety of cabins designed to accommodate the
casual or backcountry camper.
Golden Gate Canyon State Park has five camper cabins only an hour away
from Denver nestled between lush aspen groves and pine covered hills.
The cabins, located in Reverend's Ridge campground, sleep a maximum of
six people. For more information, visit Golden Gate Canyon State Park.
State Forest sprawls across 71,000 acres of mountainous terrain enhanced
by six cabins available for use. The cabins range from smaller cabins
that sleep a maximum of six, to the Old Camp Pennock Lodge and Columbine
Lodge, which sleep up to 21 and 15, respectively. You’ll find wood outside
your cabin, but you need to bring your own axe for splitting. Cabins 1,
2 and 3 have propane heaters. For more information, visit State Forest
State Park. Sylvan Lake State Park takes the roughness out of roughing
it with eight small, and one large cabin scattered among the trees of
the spectacular state park. The cabins are equipped with a propane heater
and solar-powered hot showers are available from May through September.
Visit Sylvan Lake State Park for more information.
Steamboat Lake State Park offers visitors the comfort of a rustic cabin.
There are five cabins to choose from with an electric heater, beds with
mattresses, a small refrigerator and a camper’s best friend – a coffee
pot. For cabin reservations at Steamboat Lake State Park, contact the
Steamboat Lake Marina at (970) 879-7019 or visit Steamboat Lake State
Park.
Vega State Park has five camper cabins nestled on the slopes of Grande
Mesa and surrounded by lush vegetation lie. The cabins offer an excellent
starting point for exploring the area’s canyons, cliffs and mountains.
Visit Vega State Park for more information.
Rates on cabins vary based on accommodations and season. To find out more
about Colorado State Parks’ cabins visit the individual parks’ cabin page
or call 1-800-678-2267. |
